Roehampton White Ribbon Parade 2021

We filmed the Roehampton White Ribbon Parade last month for the International White Ribbon Day against violence to women.

Congratulation to the organisers @Roehampton Women Network. You are amazing.

25 NOVEMBER IS WHITE RIBBON DAY
Every 25th November is White Ribbon Day which is followed by 16 days of action to end male violence against women. Each year, thanks to all our supporters, organisations and activists thousands of people make the White Ribbon Promise, wear a White Ribbon and raise awareness. It means that there is a greater understanding among the public about what needs to change, and people know where to find help. The message is taken out in the street and shops, schools and universities and sports clubs by individuals and organisations including the emergency services.

The White Ribbon Campaign is a global movement to end male violence against women and girls. It was formed by a group of pro-feminist men in London, Ontario in November 1991 as a response to the École Polytechnique massacre of female students by Marc Lépine in 1989.
